I know something about simply and quickbooks but I'm not sure they would handle my needs. Were currently running accpac plus.

Bascially I need something that would do all of these:

-Inventory Items 70,000+
-Have 3 inventory locations
-I will have three accountants/clerks, and another at accounting at a separate location
-Intergrated UPS tracking/ordering/shipping
-Customer emailing automation of invoices, account summaries...
-Possible integration with Ecommerce
-I will probably have 4 sales staff and I would likely need payroll

If have had experience with making this type of choice please help me out.

Thanks in advance.

My first question for you is what are you currently using for your accounting software or what is current system for accounting?

This is important as some accounting packages offer an upgrade path, for example simply accounting by sage upgrades to Sage Accpac ERP. If you upgrade, it is nice to have the history of your old system in the new one so you don't have to keep the other system runnning for history purposes.

The other thing to note is it looks like you will have 8+ users which eliminates most the of the small business packages.

Multiple locations can be handled by both Sage Accpac and Dynamics.

What is your industry, some software is better fit for different industries and if you have any other unique needs you may be limited to one two products.

There are so many good packages to chose from these days.  My company offers a free ERP and accounting short list based on some simple requirements.  You can start here and also check out Software4Distributors or Technology Evaluation Centers.

The free short list is at: http://www.tgiltd.com/customized_erp_short_list.html
